small_deer.jpgDoes your typical day consist of blogging, writing emails and scrolling through multiple social media outlets like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram? If no, then you are probably an adult with a normal career; if you answered yes, you are either a teenager between the ages of 13-15 or you are a Content Marketing Strategist.

Today we talk with Rotary’s Content Marketing Specialist, Scott Field. Though many aspects of his job may seem more suited for one of today’s youth, he is in fact responsible for much of the content that is disseminated through our multiple media channels. So let’s take some time to get to know the guy whos greatest work achievement was getting more than 3,000 Facebook likes on a “car lift selfie.”

How long have you been with Rotary Lift?

Scott: I started with Rotary Lift in June of 2015. I was raised in Madison, moved away for college and returned back. Madison is great place to raise a family, and has some of the best people you will ever meet.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

Scott: What I enjoy the most is the diversity. As a member of the marketing team, you always have a lot on your plate. We work on several different aspects of the business, which gives us a chance to collaborate with many other departments within the company. No two days are ever the same.

What is one of the biggest challenges to your job?

Scott: The internet never sleeps, especially social media. Making sure we are on top of any situations that may occur can be a bit stressful. Also the diversity which makes the job so rewarding, is also one of the most difficult aspects; you have to be able to wear many hats.

During your work career or personal life what are you most proud of?

Scott: I try to be as reliable as I can. It takes no talent to be at and on time to work each day. At a previous company, I went nearly 5 years without taking a sick day. I have been very lucky to really enjoy what I do, and have always looked forward to each day.

What is one fun fact about you that people may not know?

Scott: I am an avid hunter and have been lucky enough to harvest several big game species, including whitetail deer, wild boar, black bear and an almost 11 foot American alligator.

Scott: Well I spend a great deal of time hunting, but when hunting season is out, I enjoy spending time with family and my very understanding girlfriend.

Are you a music person or a sports person?

Scott: Luckily the two are not mutually exclusive, because I enjoy both immensely. As a sports fanatic, I am a lover of the Cincinnati Reds, the Cincinnati Bengals and the Purdue Boilermakers. As music goes you can find me listening to anything from alternative rock, country, classic rock, and even some classical if I am in the mood.

If you purchased one Rotary Lift product what would it be? Why?

Scott: I would have an RLP77, no doubt. I do have a large garage, but with vehicles, a boat and ATVs, space is at a premium. That’s why the RLP77, with its small footprint and drive over capability would be the best fit for me.
