Have you been car shopping lately? If you have, then you can see there is huge difference in pricing for the same year, make and models. All of the versions will get you from a to b, so what’s the difference? The options and accessories. A base model vehicle has the basics and will do the job, but a higher package makes the ride a little easier and more comfortable, the exact same can be said for Rotary Lifts. A base model SPOA-10 will lift a car day in and day out, and provide you years of great service. However, start adding things like Shockwave™, TRIO™ arms, or Spotline™ and you will soon wonder how you ever managed without them. At Rotary the guy responsible for making you aware of those parts and accessories, is Josh Scroggins.

Josh is our Parts and Accessories Marketing Leader, and the man to go to when it comes to tricking out your Rotary. Let’s take a few minutes to get to know the guy who loves to accessorize!

Q: How long have you been with Rotary Lift?
Josh: I started with VSG on the Forward Lift side back in 2009.

Q: What do you enjoy about your job?
Josh: What I love the most about my job are the people I work with and speak to everyday.  I basically have 2 families, my work family and my home family.

Q: What is your work background in?
Josh: For 7 years I was in Customer Service and before that I worked in the Marketing dept. for another company in the auto industry.  My current role will be to develop new avenues for parts growth while continuing to drive our core customer base.  Basically, I am responsible for pricing and marketing parts.

Q: What is one of the biggest challenges to your job?
Josh: Well, everything right now.  I just started my current position back in Nov, so I’m still trying to get use to everything.  It’s a lot different compared to customer service.

Josh and Jodi Djing.jpgQ: During your work career and personal life what are you most proud of?
Josh: In my personal life it has to be my wife, Jodi of 15 years and my 2 kids, Drew-12 and Olivia- 9.  I really don’t know how they have put up with me all this time but I wouldn’t be where I am at today without them. During my work career, it is hands down being an ALI Certified Trainer.  I was selected to be in the pilot group for ALI Inspection program and learned a great deal.  You don’t realize how much goes into a lift inspection until you go through the program.

Q: What is one fun fact about you that people may not know?
Josh:  For the past 5 years I have been dj-ing wedding receptions, birthday and Christmas parties. If you know anyone looking, tell them to hit up DJ Scroggy!

Drew and livy.jpgQ: What do you enjoy doing in your time away from work?
Josh: I really enjoy watching my son play basketball and my daughter dance.  I also love doing projects around the house. Did I mention UNLV basketball?

Q: Are you a music person or a sports person?
Josh: I love music, being a DJ and all. I am also a huge sports nut!! I love, love UNLV basketball and for you who don’t know who they are (especially you young guys), it’s the University of Nevada at Las Vegas.  I also follow the Cincinnati Reds, Indiana Pacers and Cincinnati Bengals.

Q: If you purchased one Rotary Lift product what would it be? Why?
Josh: Personally, I like the RFP8.  I like the fact of not having to bolt the lift down and being able to move it out of my garage when I need to clean the floor or if I want to work outside.  It’s also a great space saver.  Park one vehicle on the lift and pull another one underneath it.
